We work at Care Training & Consultancy, and this is our series of podcasts called carers voices.

We've created the podcast series. From working with carers on a daily basis. We often find that carers are telling us their stories. And we often think that they can't be alone in the stories that they're sharing. So we wanted to create a series of podcasts where people can tell their stories, while being able to inform other carers who could be in the same situation as they are.

So the aim of this podcast is to get an unpaid carer, a different unpaid carer in on each episode, for them to share their story about their current situation, and share some tips and some stories which might help another person who is going through a similar sort of situation as them in their journey of being an unpaid carer. 

In the 2011 census, there were just under 15,000 unpaid carers in Dumfries and Galloway alone, that figure is expected to have been doubled. Now, that is so many untold stories that we'd love to share on our podcast,
